The Astrology of May 2025
The astrology of May gives us a nice change in energy from the rest of the year so far. We have big things to look out for and important new starts, but this month isn't nearly as chaotic as the rest of the year.

THE ASTROLOGY OF MAY 2025
May is quite a change of pace from the last few months. For many individuals and for the collective, it’ll give a slow-down in a lot of things and maybe some clarity that has been missing from the last few months. Of course it’s important to look at your own chart and see what different things you’ve got going on personally, because the energies of these transits will interact with each individual differently. In general though, May’s energy looks a lot less chaotic than the energy of the last few months.
I’m not one that believes that things are set in stone, and I prefer to use astrology to be aware of the coming energies to use them the best we can. So, whenever engaging with any of my astrological work, keep that in mind. Just because something is possible, doesn’t mean it will happen. The energies will be present, but we are co-creating and our personal energies and decisions are interacting with those of others and the cosmos. Astrology can show us the backdrop of the energies present for the world and in our lives, those are predictable, what we choose to do is on us.
***I’m probably going to paste this section into all of my future astrology posts.**
May 2nd - Venus Conjoins Neptune
Venus meets with Neptune at the beginning of the month, giving us a different dose of dreaminess. I’m actually kind of interested in seeing how this energy will play out. Venus and Neptune have met up in our skies a couple of times in the last couple of months. The recent conjunctions would typically make this energy familiar, but it’s not. In fact, this energy can prove to be quite different than any of the Venus-Neptune conjunctions any of us are used to. The striking part, though, is that this is happening shortly after a meeting between them in Pisces, the sign of Venus’ exaltation and a sign with which Neptune has affinity. In other words, Pisces was a sign which was more supportive of both of their energies. Aries, however, is a sign of detriment for Venus, and is quite opposite to her normal proclivities. It’s also not as dreamy as Neptune would like, but I’m sure both Neptune and Venus will figure it out. People born with planets that aren’t in dignity will typically do exactly that, figure it out. There is an interesting caveat to Venus’ current situation, she has also changed from her evening star phase to her morning star phase. Her morning star phase is more in line with Aries energies.
Evening star Venus is all about cooperation, attraction and bringing things together. Morning star Venus has also been linked to war and pursuit of her desires. You can also see similar stories play out for different mythical or ancient religious figures who have similar energies to those of this archetype. Maybe this meeting in the sky can help us further figure out what it is we’re going after and what we want, in comparison to what we were thinking just weeks prior when Venus and Neptune met up in Pisces, with Venus still retrograde. Any connection with Neptune can result in some type of confusion and/or deception, so we have to keep that in mind, but it also infuses us with a dreaminess and escape that we sometimes need. Just know that if you meet someone, they might not be who you initially take them to be. Really interesting art and creative endeavors can be born of this conjunction, so artists and creatives, take note.
Really slowly moving planets also move so slow that it’s hard, at times, for us to understand what’s happening with their energy and how it’s affecting us. The faster moving, inner planets, can usually give us a glimpse of how that energy is playing out, even if it’s only through the perspective of the planet involved in the aspect with the slower planet. Neptune has recently moved into Aries and it’s the first time since the American Civil War, which started literally on the day Neptune last entered into Aries. This time around thank goodness we didn’t enter into one of those, that we currently know of at least, but the notion of a Trade War did definitely hit everyone’s vocabulary. Venus coming into conjunction with Neptune will likely help individuals understand how we’re relating to those Aries values’ and energies when it comes to idealization and how that plays out in our interpersonal relationships and our values. At the same time, on a larger scale, we might get a glimpse of new dissolutions of treaties or diplomatic relations, and/or maybe experience some deception or idealism regarding those things. Either way, we’re getting an idea of the energies of Neptune in Aries, taking note wouldn’t be a bad idea.
May 4th – Pluto Retrograde
Pluto will be the first of the planets to break the forward motion in our lives, but Pluto is usually retrograde for about half the year anyways and he moves so slowly, especially when retrograde, that we might not get the haywire backtracking that other retrogrades might cause. Either way, his energies will likely be more prominent in our lives. Intensification of some of the Pluto in Aquarius themes might start making the news. Pay attention to the next few months, this Pluto in Aquarius energy will play a bigger part in everyone’s lives for years to come and is part of the new paradigm shift we’re experiencing. Things to look out for are technological advances, plutocratic advances or switch-ups, and/or societal struggles with power. One interesting thing is that Pluto in Aquarius has definitely highlighted AI, and since it has been in Aquarius we’ve seen an explosion of AI. People are having to grapple with the double-edged sword of this technology and some of people fears around AI and it’s capabilities have taken the forefront for them. Also take note of how these energies are playing out for you personally and how you feel about the section of your life governed by Aquarius in your own life.
May 10th – Mercury Enters Taurus
Mercury in Taurus. Haha! I wonder how many people will deal with a fixation on food and sleep. An important thing that we might see during this time though, on an important note, is a focus and some communications regarding our food and financial systems. I’d definitely pay attention to the Mercury-Uranus conjunction towards the end of the month because it may bring some awareness to some of the changes and innovations in those areas. The Mercury-Pluto square will likely reveal some things as well.
On a practical level, Mercury in Taurus is a slower and sometimes more frustrated Mercury that’s trying to understand the simple pleasures and comforts in life. For some, financial affairs and things that are necessary to guarantee more stability might come to mind. The moon does really well in Taurus because she’s all about the good feelings and immersion into the chill vibes. Mercury, however, is a planet that is quite used to fast movement and is more about making things make sense and practical. His energies while in Taurus will be slower and more deliberate, fixated, but they’ll likely be less over-stimulated and might force some mental connection to the need to rest and enjoy life. I welcome the energy, for the most part. Enjoying life and taking a chill pill is necessary to extend life for many people, just also pay attention to thoughts that come to mind that are leaning you towards improvements and tweaks that can be made to ensure your stability.
By the time Mercury enters into Taurus, we will have had the new moon in Taurus almost two weeks beforehand. I talked about the importance of the new beginning sparked during this time in my post about the Taurus New Moon. At this point, especially when Mercury goes over the 7th degree of Taurus, we might gain some insight on that new beginning. This new beginning is important for establishing some stability for us in our lives, please pay attention to it. The world is changing and some stability will not be a bad thing for many of us, even if it’s only in one part of our lives. The innovations and changes that Uranus has been creating, forcing for some, in this area of our lives will likely play a role in our survival over the next few years. There’s been some type of upgrade that the universe has been trying to help us with, Mercury can give our minds and nervous system a chance to connect with this upgrade.
May 12th Scorpio Full Moon, Mercury Squares Pluto
The Scorpio Full Moon will definitely be a transit that will get it’s own post and I’ll do my best to remember to come back here to update this with the link when I post it. I’ll take a quick sneak-peek right now though to give a quick energy capture of the moment.
Either way, just by knowing that the Moon will be in Scorpio, the sign of it’s fall, I can tell you that it’ll be a harder energy for the collective. It’ll be a harder energy for most people because we’re talking about the Moon, which is our sense of comfort and stability and safety, in Scorpio. For those of you who know about Scorpio energy, you know that it’s not a very comforting or even stable energy… I mean it can be quite fixated and stable in that sense, but Scorpio energy is often dark, deep and intense.
That might seem like I’m taking a dump on those energies, or like it’s all negative, but it’s not. Dark, deep and intense accurately describe these energies and, in my opinion, it’s best for you to know why you might be experiencing those types of feelings instead of having them blindside you. You can also use them to understand different aspects of yourself that you may not be used to dealing with, which in spite of that fact, still form part of your being. For those who are familiar with the term shadow work, it’ll seem like that for a lot of people. You’ll be connected to a deeper, possibly darker side of yourself that you might not entertain too often.
We also have to look at the specialty of Scorpio energy. That is the manipulation and transmutation of energy. Scorpio season is in the Fall, when the decay of the leaves that have fallen enriches the soil with nutrients that will be needed for further life. We may go through dark periods throughout our lives, but those dark periods can serve for quite a bit, if we take them in the light of the big-picture and not get stuck and lost in the darkness.
I’ve just taken a look at the chart for that full moon and it looks like it will give us some heavy and somewhat obsessive points, and some supportive ones. The Sun isn’t far off from Uranus at the time of the full moon, lending to a possible highlight to a change in the way we shine in the Taurus section of our chart and the Moon will be reflecting back to us some of how that might be playing out on a deeper level. The Sun may also be starting to show us a some of the changes that Uranus has been making in that part of our lives.
We’ve also got an interesting, pretty exact square from Pluto in Aquarius to Mercury in Taurus at the time of this full moon. Our mind, body and our emotions might be experiencing some intensity during this time, which can lead to some sort of breakthrough, if you don’t breakdown. As I mentioned earlier, the energy of the slower moving planets becomes more accessible through that of the faster moving ones. This will be Pluto’s more intense energy making itself manifest through our mental and communicative capacities. There’s also a chance that we might become aware of some secretive things regarding the use of technology and it’s affect on the collective. Maybe even something regarding a surveillance state will be communicated or furthered during this point. It’s also interesting to think about the fact that this connection to Pluto is being made during the time that we’re having a full moon in the sign of Scorpio, which is a sign with which Pluto has a lot of affinity.
***Also, there might be more Trade War stuff happening around this time. Mercury is the ruler of the mercantile, so markets and merchants…. A retrograde Pluto in hard aspect to Mercury can lead to instability and some type of forced action in trade. This might most directly affect the stability of the financial and/or food markets.***
Maybe it would be good to not schedule anything too cumbersome around this time or anything which can add to the stressfulness of the already tense and possibly draining time. If it is unavoidable, keep in mind the energies and the intensity of the time, these energies will be in the air. Maybe affording others some grace while paying attention to things that are communicated during this time is at hand.
May 15th Venus Leaves her Shadow
Venus leaving her shadow is great for some truly forward and new movement for the world in Venusian themes. It’s true that Venus stationed direct and started moving forward hours after the Libra full moon, but she still had to do her final pass over the degrees she went over while retrograde. Up until this point, Venus has been helping us get connected to the things we may have missed over the last two passes, so we can incorporate them into our lives going forward. The full retrograde story doesn’t really end until Venus leaves shadow, and the retrograde themes might still be active for some until she leaves the sign of Aries.
I use Whole Sign Houses in my practice, therefore, the presence of a planet in a sign really does affect the sign as a whole and the house it governs in your chart. That means that the area of your life governed by a certain sign will be affected by the energy of any planet while it is in the sign. The influence is definitely stronger the closer a planet is to certain important degrees in a sign for any given person or event. This is largely dictated by if a person has a personal planet or points near the degrees the planet is transiting. Having a copy of your birth chart is important whenever looking at astrological events because it can help you understand where the energies are playing out for yourself. The influence of any planet is there from the moment it enters a sign until it leaves it. Venus being a benefic planet, might lend to a more positive experience wherever it’s at and can still deliver on certain possibilities until it leaves a sign… Knowing your own chart or speaking with a professional can help you understand different nuances and different activations that might be of importance to you in your own life as well.
May 17th Sun Conjoins Uranus
The Sun, as a luminary, assumes the role of illuminating, or shining light on things. This will be the last time the Sun will be shining a light on the changes and upgrades that Uranus has been making while in Taurus this time around. It’s important for all those with strong fixed sign energy to take inventory of changes that have occurred in their lives in the fixed areas of their charts since 2018. Everyone will have experienced a lot of changes, and the destabilization of our Taurean systems over the last few years has been hard on most, but people with strong fixed energy have been really going through it. That is, people with a lot of energy in Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius have been really hit with an onslaught of energies which has likely been rocking them at their core.
The fixed signs are those that are more resistant to change, they’re not made for change. They’re supposed to maintain certain energies for the world, Taurus is the most fixed of all of the fixed energies because it is fixed earth. Uranus has been changing things in areas we aren’t used to, and don’t generally welcome change. We also don’t usually have the infrastructure or systems in place to facilitate change in these areas of our life. Either way, we’ve been experiencing these changes since 2018, so we’ve gotten used to some uncertainty and changing of circumstances, but it’s still not comfortable. Also, there are still some degrees of Taurus that haven’t experienced the Uranian impulses that will soon get introduced to them. The Sun being in this area of the zodiac will shine some light on some of what is happening and might give us a notion of what is to come for some.
The Sun meeting up with Uranus can lead to some shocking revelations. It can also lead to a change of leadership in some places, especially when we’re talking about places that are Taurean in nature. This can be like financial institutions, food places, and maybe places which have to do with some physical pleasures and comforts. Also, places with strong Taurean or fixed energy in their charts as well. I keep mentioning fixed energy and fixed signs because, even though Uranus has been going through Taurus, the energy affects that spot, it creates tension 90 degrees in both directions and directly across from it as well.
Look at the parts of your chart ruled by fixed signs, especially Taurus. What changes have you been experiencing here since May 2018? How are those changes affecting you at a core level? This will be the last time the Sun and Uranus will be meeting up in Taurus, take note of things you experience around this time, especially in regards to that Taurus section of your chart, and Taurean themes in your life in general.
May 18th Mercury Square Mars
Mercury in Taurus squaring Mars in Leo can lead to abrasive, harsh communications and thoughts, but ones that are trying to help us get to some sort of resolution that will assist is creating more stability. There might be some interests from a financial sector putting pressure on leaders as well.. or maybe even pressure from leaders on our financial sectors. Either way, this is a time period where I’d expect some frustrations to run high for you for individuals and the collective. There’s an interesting aspect from the Moon trining the Sun-Uranus conjunction at the same time as this Mercury-Mars configuration. There again might be some type of change that is being brought about. Actually, it looks like there things that are going on with this Mercury square to Mars might be a bit more complex than it originally seems. The Moon is sextiling Saturn who is sextiling the Sun and Uranus. At the same time Saturn is making a square and a half to Mars. Whatever changes and actions are taken during this time are being powered by things that you may not initially be aware of.
May 20th Sun Enters Gemini
The Sun in Taurus lends to slow, deliberate and focused energy and life force. The Sun in Gemini is nothing like that. Not only is Gemini not slow or deliberate, focused would also be a stretch. In fact, a person’s focus might be stretched out among a bunch of different things and topics. I like much of the energy present at the Sun’s ingress into Gemini. We’ve had a lot of serious things happening and the energy has been kind of heavy, uncertain and volatile for a while. The Sun in Gemini gives us some levity, Jupiter still being there helps in that, Mercury joining shortly after will put our thoughts and communications into the lively mix. It also primes up the energy of the sign Gemini to receive Uranus and Venus in just over a month when the current party has departed. Look at your chart and see where Gemini falls. This area of your life is going to receive some life and energy.
May 24th Saturn Enters Aries
Saturn in Aries is going to lead to another huge shift in energies. This will also be sort of a preview of the next few years because Saturn will enter Aries and then retrograde out. A lot of astrologers have been eyeing 2024-2026 for quite some time because we’re going through a huge transitionary period and it’ll likely be quite reality-altering. Saturn has dominion over the physical realm and reality. He is the border planet anciently known to be the gate keeper, he is the furthest planet we can perceive with the naked eye. While Saturn does move from what many take as the end of the zodiac to the beginning of the zodiac about every 30 years, he rarely does it at around the same time as Neptune. I was only able to find one site that said that they conjoined at 0° Aries in 4361 BC. I can’t figure out how to get my program to search for that information itself.
An interesting thing about this current preview of Saturn in Aries is that the area has been primed a bit by Neptune, as Neptune entered Aries, on March 30th. Saturn will only go over parts of Aries that Neptune has already traced, because he will go retrograde before meeting with Neptune and they’ll both retrograde into Pisces before turning around and entering Aries around the same time. The interesting thing about the second go-around is that Saturn will enter shortly after Neptune, but he’ll eventually move faster than Neptune, forcing Neptune to follow his steps. I think that this is more interesting when we compare the completely different energies of these two planets.
Saturn is boundaries, reality, separation, and distinction. In order for things to work when Saturn is involved, a lot of work and dedication are necessary. Saturn’s governance of reality and time work sometimes prove to be too much for certain things to make it. Saturn is sobering and caution is advised whenever his energies are involved. If you embark on a journey that has Saturn’s energies involved and you are not prepared, you may not make it. Saturn requires maturity and he’s willing to help you gain that maturity if you are willing to work hard and persevere. Most things initiated under Saturn’s rays that aren’t well thought out, insulated and loaded with an extra dose of courage and will, will not make it. That is the sad reality of Saturn’s energies.
Neptune has a completely different assortment of energies. Neptune’s energies are as boundless as the drops of water in the oceans. Neptune is known for dissolving structures, borders and divisions… all things Saturn establishes. Neptune is possibilities and dreams, ideals and fantasies. While Saturn is concrete and stagnant, Neptune is fluid and flowing. Neptune doesn’t need for things to be possible in this reality. Neptune, for all we know, exists within many realities and is fine going beyond what we can make happen here.
While these two planets end up meeting up in the sky about every 36 years, the significance of them meeting at 0° Aries is beyond our current comprehension. This is known as the starting point for many, having the planet which governs boundaries and structure meeting with the planet which dissolves the same and infuses idealism and possibilities into the mix, is likely going to affect the entire zodiac, to some extent, but it’ll definitely be directly affecting Aries and all of the cardinal signs: Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn. Those are the signs that will likely struggle the most with this meeting and the struggle it’ll create. The energies are not compatible and that will likely manifest in a plethora of ways. What makes it difficult is that it’s happening in an area that is directly related to our drive and initiative capacities.
What I’m seeing as a possibility is Neptune goes in and impacts the ideals of the Aries energies, Saturn goes through and starts to solidify some things or outright decline some of Neptune’s energies and possibilities proposed by Neptune in Aries. Then Saturn starts to backtrack and go over some of what he’s been doing in Aries. He’ll go back into Pisces and Neptune will start to follow suit. They make it back to Pisces and figure some things out for a final time before practically holding hands and moving back into Aries to work on things together. Again, there will be a difference in the second time around though because Neptune’s head-start will not be as big and this time they won’t go back into Pisces. Without the retrograde, Saturn will surpass Neptune and start to trailblaze. For some Saturn will start to test different aspects of a person’s will and drive and Neptune will be able to infuse some possibilities into whatever is left after Saturn makes his way. The energies of each and both of these planets in Aries is quite tricky though.
Just the same, these preview months of Saturn in Aries will be important. Aries itself has had a lot going in it. Also, Mars, the ruler of Aries, has just gone through it’s retrograde, spending quite a bit of time in the sign of it’s fall and faced off with Pluto a few time over the last 6 months. To put this into more understandable terms, it’s like Aries is a house that’s owned by Mars. Mars started going through all kinds of problems and was trying to figure himself out while super far from home and strapped for resources. He had just hosted the last few years of eclipses and eclipses are like out of control ragers that break some things and change stuff around in the house. Mars got a bit of a breather when he left Cancer, but had to go back because there was unresolved stuff in Cancer that needed to get taken care of. He then spent a few more months there and slowly started making his way out as he resolved some of his issues there. Mars is about drive, getting things done and his own desires, in Cancer he was forced to be more vulnerable and deal with emotions and while it wasn’t his cup of tea, he dealt and learned some things as well. Things that homeowner goes through will typically affect their ability to take care of their home and it’ll likely affect how they take care of their homes when they’re able to. That is effectively what has been going on for the last 6 months and it’ll help explain a bit of why things have been so hard for people with strong Aries and Scorpio energies during that time. Aries has been dealing with a bit more because both Venus and Mercury started going through things while in Aries and had to start backtracking and these things leave an imprint. Not to mention that Mars hosted the last Aries eclipse at the end of March, meaning both the Sun and Moon were there and that was only a day before he had a new visitor… Neptune. So, think of all of this kind of stuff and see how it has been reflected in the Aries section of your natal chart. Think of people who have important Aries places and what they may have been going through.
Aries energy is playing a huge role in the paradigm shift that’s coming about and it’ll be like the fire that’s being supported by the winds coming from Aquarius and Gemini. I think universe, God, or what-have-you has been really trying to prepare us for what is coming. We’ve been getting testers, previews, reviews and so much more to get us ready. Take advantage of these times. If you know a good amount about astrology yourself, use it. If you don’t, talk to a professional. Invest in a professional reading to understand the changes and the energies that have arrived and are coming. I’m sure a lot of people feel the building up of something, it’s like there has been energy growing, then it subsides some and then comes back even stronger. Since it’s been more than just Mars and Aries going through these changes, different areas of life have also been under the impact of a lot of different energies… We’re getting these previews, but when the match is lit, not even the LA fires of this year will be able to compare. I’m not going to pretend to be the most traditionally religious person out there, but the book of Revelation did come to mind here for a second and it’s interesting to have in in mind as things progress in the world.
Back to Saturn… I’ve recently gained a deeper appreciation for Saturn and his energies. It’s a hard, harsh energy. However, it’s the one that connects us to reality and, in a sense, gives a purpose to this life. Perspectives change when you’re connected to your mortality. The endings give much more meaning to the beginnings and the space between. It also helps teach us what is necessary in order for things to last and not leave this life prematurely (even maturity is under the realm of the Saturnian). If you look at the signs of Saturn’s rulership and where they fall in the seasons in the northern hemisphere, we’ve got the beginning and dead of winter. If you haven’t prepared for winter, you don’t survive it. If you look at the mentality of the Saturnian signs from that perspective, you can get their purpose and gain a new respect for them and the hard place they occupy in the grand scheme of things. They rule over the harsher things in life and natives of these signs sometimes must go through some hard things to help them embody those energies. Many times they’ve taken up these mantles without understanding what’s going on. Many of these people suffer and have a harder time in our societies and while they might not get the appreciation they deserve, their energies are necessary. We know that if you don’t prepare for winter, you don’t survive, but winter itself carries important energies and is crucial for the bringing for of new life later. The circle of the zodiac is, effectively, the circle of life. Everything plays a part. Saturn is no different.
So, take what I said about Saturn in that last section and apply it to the Aries section of your life and to Aries energies in general. There will definitely be a cooling down of energies when it comes to initiating things and going after what you want. Saturn brings a reality check that Aries energies just aren’t used to. An Aries is more prone to acting before thinking, enforcing it’s will without much regard to anything else, but that will not fly anymore. Something has to change to make things more sustainable and Saturn will teach us what those things are. A really positive thing for those who work hard during this time is that the things that they begin will likely last for a while. Saturn’s involvement pays off for those who work hard and dedicate themselves and he usually makes people some of the best at whatever they do. The interesting co-presence of Neptune will make this interesting. We have a world of possibilities with the negation of the unrealistic and unfeasible. It’ll take some growing pains, but you can learn to use these energies for your highest good. Get prepared. Saturn is structure and reality, he’ll be entering into his fall, like Mars spent quite a bit of time in his fall. A planet in it’s fall is without many of the resources it’s used to and completely out of it’s element, but it’ll still do what it can to bring forth it’s significations. Structure and reality will likely suffer, and be changed during Saturn’s time in Aries, but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. We’ve got to get creative and maybe Neptune’s presence will help that and keep things from getting to stuck. There will likely also be an infusion of idealism, confusion and illusions and/or possibilities because of Neptune.
May 25th Mercury Enters Gemini
Mercury entering Gemini is Mercury returning home. Thank goodness! Mercury has been going through quite a bit and because of that, so have we. Those with more prominent Mercury placements or with Mercury as a time lord, have really been feeling it as Mercury’s struggles. I’m sure that there are so many people that have been mentally drained over everything we’ve been going through for the last few months. Mercury entered into Pisces mid February and since then it has been going through it. Mercury in Pisces is energy that is hard for people that are not used to it to deal with. Those that are born with Mercury in Pisces usually develop ways to deal with the energy and kind of get used to it. Some master ways to deal with the fallen position of the planet and have minds that work in marvelous, out of the box, ways. However, it’s discombobulating and confusing energy. During the time that Mercury is in Pisces, direct, rational and linear thinking is not supported at all. People trying to engage those faculties tend to have difficulties during that time. This time around, Mercury not only went through that, but shortly after leaving Pisces, there was an Eclipse in his sign and he went retrograde directly afterwards. During his retrograde he went back into Pisces so it was like a triple-whammy for him because he was retrograde and in fall and detriment. He also was met with Neptune which makes things confusing when he hit Pisces again. Then after leaving Pisces when he went direct he met up with Neptune again. There was a period of time in which people’s mental and communicative faculties were seriously hindered. When Mercury was in Aries it was rash and direct and that may have caused some issues, especially when he crossed Chiron’s path. Additionally, since Aries is the sign that he actually went retrograde in, during the time he was there, the retrograde energy was present. In May, Mercury went into Taurus which is more grounded, but maybe a bit more slow than he’d like. However, Mercury definitely likes getting back to practicality. Towards the end of his transit through Taurus he met up with Uranus which might have led to some interesting insights and innovative thinking, a nice shake-up from the typical Taurus energy and soon after Mercury hits this point and enters Gemini.
While Mercury is in Gemini we’ll have some interesting things happening, like the day after, we’ll have the Gemini new moon. This might also help us get a new start, but we’ll also get the Mercury cazimi shortly after in which Mercury will have his energies refreshed and renovated. Helping with that new beginning…. Possibly.
Just the same, just the fact that Mercury will be back at home in Gemini will be able to get out minds firing at top speed, but in a supportive manner. Let’s look at it this way, Mercury has been going through it, depending on others for everything and just out of his element for a while. Returning home is like any of us coming home after really going through it. His ability to do that which he likes is restored. Just being at home, is, being at home. Everything is lighter at that point. Quick intellect and thinking return, playful and quick-witted banter and conversations can resume, the mood is changed. Actually, the astrological weather changes quite a bit towards the end of the month of May and throughout June. It gives us a breather and a nice switch-up from the chaos of the first few months of the year.
May 26th Gemini New Moon
This Gemini new moon is going to be one to pay attention to. Mercury just got back home and shortly after he’s hosting the new moon to help us with a new beginning. This is a new and improved Mercury. He’s been through a lot, but through his struggles, I’m sure a lot of us have learned quite a bit. A lot of the confusion of the first few months of the year has started clearing up and this new beginning here in the Gemini energies and in the Gemini section of each of our charts will be loaded with the lessons learned. I’ll do a full write-up for this New Moon and link it here too, but I’ll take a quick peak now just to write something here to look forward to.
I’m just looking at the chart preliminarily right now, and I’m kind of excited about it. Right off the bat, I’m not seeing too much red. This means that this new moon doesn’t have as many hard aspects being made during the time of this new beginning, especially in comparison to the ones that we’ve been seeing throughout the last few months. Next up, it looks like there’s a positive aspect being made from Pluto to Mercury and the new moon itself. The Scorpio Full moon from two weeks ago had an intense harsh aspect between Mercury and Pluto. Additionally, the fact that the ruler of the new moon is in it’s own sign, and it’s the sign of the new beginning, means that the new beginning will be more supported and requires less outsourcing to actually come into fruition. If you read my past new and full moon or eclipse posts, you’ll notice I spend time talking about the ruler of the sign the lunation is happening in. This is because it is the planet that indicates how supported things are and how things will turn out. It’s at home and happy and most of us can be happy about that, depending on your own chart and how these energies are hitting you, you may or may not experience these energies in a positive manner.
May 30th Mercury Cazimi
This Mercury cazimi is coming at a good time. Mercury went cazimi back in March when he was retrograde and meeting with the sun in Aries. He was retrograde though, and soon after went through quite a bit. This cazimi is in Mercury’s own sign protecting him from the Sun’s harmful rays and, on top of that, when he makes his heliacal rise (becomes visible in the sky again), it’ll be in the night sky and he’ll be imbued with his mission call for the next few months. This will likely help us figure some things out regarding that new beginning we’re starting up.
I’ll give myself the take note and pay attention award, because I’ve said those things soooo many times in this post. However, we will need to take note of, and pay attention to, a lot of things. We’re going through major shifts and some of what we experience now is just a preview of what's to come. Some of the pieces of the big change are already being locked in, our actions are important. Those that maintain good journals will be able to look back on things happening at these times to see how the energies have manifested in their lives. That’s how astrology works. As far as we know, Astrology was developed from centuries of people taking note of what was going on on earth as certain celestial events happened. You can do the same to see how it’s playing out in your own life. When a similar configuration comes around you’ll be able to compare those times in your life. You’ll be shocked to see how well this works out.
