The Astrology of April 2025

April 4 – Saturn sextiles Uranus

Saturn sextiling Uranus is an interesting combination. The energies of Saturn are slow, restrictive, and usually perceived as harsh, cold and negative (as in they negate or say no to opportunities). I’d say that he is also in charge of the physical, boundaries, and making things last. The Energies of Uranus are seen as liberating, innovative, revolutionary and shocking. With Uranus in this supportive aspect with Saturn we can see some interesting things. We could see some really innovative and revolutionary technologies become a reality. We could see the establishment of new boundaries. We could see a change in situations that helps us establish boundaries in the Pisces section of our charts.

April 7 – Mercury stations direct

Mercury stationing direct will start a bunch of things going forward in a lot of people’s lives. Mercury retrogrades in general can be quite inconvenient and can be discombobulating for people who are governed by Mercury, whether this is because he’s the ruler of their ascendant or another important placement in their charts, and/or a time lord for any given time period. This Mercury retrograde was more important and more chaotic than many other ones because it ruled the Virgo Eclipse and stationed retrograde (turned around) at the same degree of the Aries eclipse we had to close out the eclipse season. It was also the last Aries eclipse of the past series of Aries-Libra eclipses. This right here indicates that Mercury is intricately connected to the big-picture changes coming about in everyone’s lives. There’s been a lot of confusion for quite some time. Mercury entered into Pisces, the sign of it’s fall on February 14th of this year and it has probably caused a lot of confusion for everyone in general when it comes to things like rational, linear thoughts and communications. He met up with Neptune in our skies and that further complicated things for the previously mentioned things because Neptune is confusing, illusory, and dimension melding. It could have been a really good time for those seeking messages from the other side or those in creative endeavors, but for a majority of the population, it was probably just frustrating. There may have been some deceptive or misleading information spread around this time as well.

When Mercury made it into Aries thoughts and communications became more direct and, in some cases, blunt (some may even eventually eat some of the words they said during this time). When he started going retrograde it was like an area or a couple of areas of life that were already starting to get lit up with change, started going haywire. Deals that we thought to be done, issues we thought were resolved and so much more started to unwind. I hope many people were able to use that time to go inward and investigate, review and maybe tweak a bunch of things. This is especially true because Venus is also working on brings us into alignment with our wants and needs. When Mercury stations direct and eventually starts moving forward it might take a while for things to get clear because he’ll still have to clear Pisces and make it past Neptune, who is now in Aries. The air around big changes will change and again, it’ll probably be wise to question and check on communications and information received for a bit, especially when dealing with things like war or any of the Aries ruled energies and topics. Just the same, things will start to move forward again and some of the changes and things that have been happening over the last few months will start to become more clear, giving you the ability to digest whatever has happened and adjust. Keep in mind that Venus is still retrograde, and while you might start thinking a bit differently initially, there’s a chance that you don’t have your priorities and values in line with your thoughts just yet.

April 7 – Venus retrograde conjuncts Saturn

Venus retrograde conjuncting Saturn can be like having cold water splashed on your face to wake you up. It’s sobering, to say the least. I like the thought of sobering because you can look at the energy in a few different ways. Venus in Pisces is extremely dreamy, and it can be completely detached from reality, even if it feels so good. Venus in Pisces is also likely to indulge in excessive drinking or other things to escape from reality. Addictions might run a bit high during this time. Venus hitting Saturn will bring into question the reality of everything you’re feeling and what is actually going to last. It’s a hard energy, but a necessary one to put our feet back on the iceberg, I’d say ground, but Saturn in Pisces gives me iceberg vibes. It’s cold and far from comfortable, except for those who were born with it and have gotten used to the energies, who might not find it so jarring. Sometimes some fluidity needs to become more solid and we have to evaluate the sustainability of things. I wouldn’t go making decisions off of anything in the moment here either though because Venus is still retrograde and it’ll be a few days before she goes direct. There’s still something that has to be reevaluated and Venus needs to turn around and start going forward again. If possible, wait until after thing point.

April 12 - Full Moon in Libra

This full moon in Libra will likely be an interesting one which might highlight the drastic changes in diplomacy over the last few years. I say that just by virtue of it being a full moon, and it following the eclipses and the retrogrades (the Venus retrograde ends just after the full moon), this probably going to big in a way that most people may not expect. I’ll actually examine the chart for the full moon itself, write a full post on it, and link it here when I’ve got it up. All accounts point to this being a true culminating point in which we begin to become aware of a lot of the things we’ve been going through. Please keep in mind that emotions are typically heightened during normal full moons. This is a full moon in a sign that was dealing with eclipses recently and whose ruler is slowing down in the sky at about this point. The energy is likely to be strong. Try your best to be balanced and not go overboard with any decisions made. At this point, things done might not be so un-doable anymore. Look forward to this full post

April 12 – Venus stations direct

Venus stationing direct is another big energy, because much like Mercury, she’s been important in a lot of big things happening in people’s lives, but for quite some time. A lot of the changes in alliances and relationships, values and worth have been directly governed by Venus. Her retrograde was trying to help us really get in touch with our values, our dreams, our worth and what we’ve been doing to maintain or create harmony or diplomacy. Also, maybe some of the way we relate to those more masculine and brute energies ruled by Aries have been under review since Venus went retrograde, or maybe even since she first entered into Pisces back in January. It’s interesting that she was co-ruling the eclipses, and therefore changes in our lives, individually and collectively, since November of 2021, she goes retrograde in the sign opposing hers, and then she goes direct on the same day there’s a full moon in the sign she rules which was part of the now closed series of eclipses on the Aries-Libra axis. This ish is big guys! I hope you’ve been able to really get in touch with your values and have a better idea of your worth by the time Venus starts going forward again. Things will change at an accelerated pace soon, and, having looked over, and internalized, all you’ve been through during these last few years, will help you as she enters her morning star phase and is ready to help you get what you want and need. Morning star Venus is a more independent Venus and she’ll soon be going back into Aries, the sign of living in it’s being and going after it’s desires.

April 16 – Mercury ingresses into Aries

Mercury ingressing into Aries is going to really give Mercury a boost, especially after he moves on from his meeting with Neptune. Mercury will go from a place that’s completely opposite of his significations, a place that blurs things for him, into a sign he’ll be able to return to rationality and clear thinking, eventually. Some big picture things may come to light for a lot of people here within the next week as well as Mercury goes over the degree he retrograded and activates that eclipse point again and his conjunction with Neptune in Aries is going to be important as well.

April 17 – Mercury conjoins Neptune in Aries

Mercury conjunct Neptune is a complicated energy, but, this is a very big conjunction. This is the first time that Mercury will be conjuncting Neptune in Aries since the civil war. I use that as a point of reference for time, but keep in mind, there can be echoes from that time as well. Our thoughts may also be brought back to this time for one reason or another. Either way, I want each individual to focus on their own personal stories and where this is happening. Pay attention to the information divulged around this time. You might not be able to take everything at face value, but you will want to pay attention to the themes. Neptune will be able to communicate some big-picture stuff to us about what it’s transit through Aries will be like for us. None of us have lived through this energy before in this life (unless you have, in that case, hit me up. Lol). This will help us understand a lot about the changes coming for us on a personal level as well as on a worldwide level. The Neptune transit will be paradigm shifting, and it’s something to keep an eye out for. This current time Neptune is in Aries is just a preview. It’s best to get a feel for this time during the preview to prepare for the definitive move into the sign. Mercury has the ability to communicate something to us about this though, pay attention to thoughts, and communications coming in around this time. Maybe a few days leading up to an after this time.

April 18 – Mars enters Leo

Thank the gods of old and new! (Anyone get the reference?) Mars is finally leaving Cancer!! Mars has spent an extremely extended period of time in Cancer, the sign of it’s fall, and it has really had the world, and many individuals, unable to move in a direct, focused manner. Actions have been more reactive and maybe even more attached to emotion than anything. It may have even led to quite a bit of infighting in families and countries. The time Mars was retrograde created quite a bit more of a strain because on top of the complications presented by him being in a place that he was deprived of resources, his energies were turned inwards and going backwards. For this and many more reasons I’m happy he’ll be departing from Cancer and entering Leo. He still has a few degrees to cover before leaving his shadow, and a bit longer to leave the sign of his retrograde, but with him in Leo, things should go a lot more smoothly for a lot of people. Those people who have been really going through it since last September will get a breather. I know things may not have been easy for them, but the struggles have been refining. They’ll likely be in a better position to really accelerate and thrive as a lot of important things happen in Mars’ sign of Aries.

April 19 – Sun enters Taurus

Taurus season! Today the Sun enters into Taurus and while he wants to slip into the typical Taurus temperament of sustained comfort above all else, he’s about to square Mars. So, the very first days of Taurus season are likely to be some interesting ones that will be detailed in the next section. Afterwards, the Sun will continue on his way throughout Taurus and will eventually make his final conjunction with Uranus in Taurus until 2103. This is a time where we might have some light shone upon the changes Uranus has been bringing about in the Taurus section of our lives, as well as the Taurus energies as a whole for the entire world. It’s important to take note of any insights you get during this time because it can also help you understand what Venus has been working on during her retrograde. It’s interesting to think of the fact that Venus went retrograde, which not only causes us to reevaluate the way we think about the areas of our lives governed by Aries and Pisces, the areas of our lives governed by Taurus and Libra will also be informed by the changes Venus goes through, because she rules those signs. Taurus, a sign vehemently against change, has been has been dealing with uncomfortable changes since 2018. Depending on where this falls in different people’s charts and which planets and points are in Taurus, some people have been going through it. This is leaving aside the fact that from 2021 to 2023, we were having eclipses in this sign causing even more drastic changes in that area of life. On an individual level, Venus’ latest moves were teaching us about ourselves, our value, our resources and our relationships. There’s a unique sense of your worth and priorities that you can possibly gain from this time period with the sun going through Taurus and illuminating a lot of what may look different now. Picture a remodeling that has been going on and you’re not able to see the finished product until a light comes on and everything is visible. On a mundane level, we might also become aware of changes with big food and/or financial systems. Maybe more light will be shone upon a rising cryptocurrency or something like that. The Sun-Uranus conjunction will be further discussed in the May Monthly report, which will hopefully make it out before May.

April 20th – Sun squares Mars, Moon opposes Mars while conjunct Pluto, Moon squares the Sun

April 23rd – Sun Squares Pluto; and

April 26th- Mars opposite Pluto

The Sun squaring Mars is an energy that is likely to force some type of action. The Sun builds up to it’s square to Mars at the same time that Mars is building up to it’s opposition to Pluto. It’s also interesting to know that at the same exact time, the Moon is applying to conjunct Pluto, oppose Mars, and square the Sun. This is a big, tense time that is likely to have some larger repercussions than we might immediately understand. It also takes me back to the final Aries eclipse from last month, because this would be the final square of whatever was initiated at the time of the eclipse. Additionally, since it is a harsh aspect between big players of the eclipse, I’m expecting it to be a time in which an action might be forced, or something within us is sparked which causes a change at our core.

I’ll go over the personal side of these astrological events and energies in a minute, but since I’ve now looked at the chart for the Sun-Mars square, I must say I get what some astrologers have been talking about when they talk about possible issues for the current sitting president of the USA. Mars in Leo opposing Pluto in Aquarius already gives us some very explosive us against them energy. The Leo-Aquarius opposition is like the leaders or ruling class versus societies… entertainers are also under Leo’s governance.***Wait, I just thought of a few of the leader in the world that were entertainers before: Trump, Trudeau, Macron, and Zelensky are the ones that come to mind off the bat. Wtf?*** Both Mars and Pluto are associated with war and violence. Mars is more of the battles and fights and Pluto is the transformation that comes from the fight, death (sometimes even in just the figurative sense), and whatever comes after the war. It’s not common for us to get 3 iterations of a Mars-Pluto opposition, but, due to the Mars retrograde, it’s exactly what we’re getting this time. We get those explosive and possibly violent, or, at the very least galvanizing, events which will play out over 3 exact oppositions over months. The first one was November 4th, 2024. The next was around January 1st, 2025. The final pass will be on April 26th, 2025.

When the Sun enters into his square with Mars, he’s put into a point that is like the outlet for the energy building up from the Mars-Pluto opposition. When you’ve got an opposition, sometimes it’s hard for a decision to be made because there are two opposing sides pulling at you. When you’ve got a T Square, which is when there is a planet in the middle of the opposition, you’ve got a point through which that energy can be channeled or released. The Sun will be making a square to the Moon with Pluto, and Mars. This is really intense energy and it’s double the stress and harsh energies hitting the sun. The Sun in mundane astrology can easily represent the leader of a nation. In the case of the US we’ve also got a leader who is also a Leo (ruled by the Sun) and the first exact Mars-Pluto opposition went exact the day before the elections. When you’ve got a leader being the point of release between the, often violent, building tensions between the ruling class and those being ruled, it doesn’t look to good. That doesn’t mean something will definitely manifest from this or that any attempts that do will be successful, but it is a concerning time. For all of the zealots, please keep in mind that the majority of our brothers and sisters voted for this man and he’s the current leader of our country. Any violent end to a sitting president puts us in a really vulnerable situation. If you’ve read my election post you’d know I’m skeptical about a lot and I question almost everything. I’m concerned for the people of my country. They tend to be the ones to pay the price of anything happening on the governing level and there’s a lot of manipulation at play, in most cases. I don’t like the thought of large group of innocent people paying for the sins of the few that are looking out for themselves. That’s also happening in other places in the world also though, we’ll see what comes about from this piece being added to the puzzle.

On a more personal level, a lot of people are likely to have a week of internal struggle and restlessness. I feel like this can provoke a lot of anxiety, so being gracious with yourself and aware of any mental struggles that may just being exacerbated by the astrological weather, can help tremendously. The tensions will likely ease-up for most. Either way, pay attention to the things you’re feeling during the above-listed dates. They’re cluing you into decisions that have to be made and things which must be done. This is a tense moment engaging the mental, instinctive and physical aspects of yourself. They’re informing your being of the influences coming from the areas of your life ruled by Aquarius and Leo, since the moon is involved in the initial Sun square Mars which is also moving closer to it’s square to Pluto, we’ve got some type of emotional or reflexive ties to whatever is happening as well. Moon-Pluto conjunctions can also lead to obsessive and/or deep and/or dark feelings. Not only should you be aware of your heightened tensions during this moment, maybe think of others possibly being in the same state. If possible, try to keep from putting yourself into an unnecessarily stressful situation. Please do not go provoking people and understand the influence those who may be provoking you may be under. The tensions during this time can make violence the instinctive answer, without much thought beforehand. Check your own charts to see where these energies may be playing out and gain some perspective of the areas of your life affected.

April 24th – Venus conjunct Saturn

Earlier in this post I touched on retrograde Venus conjuncting Saturn. That energy is different because as Venus is retrograding, she’s still helping you figure things out. You’re still going over some things and trying to understand where you stand. You continue to go through something and start to relate things differently as Venus starts to turn around after a retrograde. This is an interesting meeting here though because not only is Venus now direct, when she stationed direct, it was just after a full moon in Libra. This is showing me that something about what Venus was working on was being highlighted. On a mundane level, alliances and changes in alliances are probably going to start to be solidified. On a personal level, the different things you’ve felt, stuff you’ve gone through over the last two years, and your newly gained or reaffirmed suspicions about what you want for yourself, are likely going to be solidified at this point. You’ll have a chance to really get serious about things you’ve been thinking or dreaming about. If you’re in a relationship that has been pretty rocky over the last few years, you might see it come to an end or definitive steps can be made to change things. For some people, they might have a chance to go to the next level in their relationships. Venus meeting with Saturn in the sign of her exaltation can also bring the formalization of relationships. Either way, tap into your values, your worth and your true desires to bring what you want into this world. Venus is also in her morning star phase, so she’s more likely to fight for what she wants and will be okay standing alone, if need be.

April 27 – Taurus New Moon

This Taurus new moon is another important point for Venus, post-retrograde. It is a time in which we could possibly have a new, more informed, start in the area of our life ruled by Taurus. At this point we can start something that’s more in line with our wants and needs. I’ll do a full post soon that I’ll link here.

April 30th – Venus enters Aries

Venus entering Aries will be Venus exiting a place where she’s got everything she needs at her disposal and everything vibes with her and her energies, and entering a place whose energy is opposite to hers and she’s left without much, by way of resources. This will likely be experienced by many as a hard time as relationships and Venusian energies are likely to become more direct, confrontational and warlike. For those born with these energies, it’ll be like a return to familiar energies and it won’t be so off-putting. At any rate, this energy is really good for going out and getting what you want and making things happen that are in line with your true wants and needs. An unapologetic Venus might not be as reserved and is probably going to be more about going after what she wants, rather than just attracting it to herself. Either way, this energy is fast and progressive. Again, I’m going to stress the importance of being in touch with your true wants and needs by this point because a lot will be happening in that very fast Aries way. Venus in a fire sign is wanting to make things happen in the moment, she won’t be trying to collaborate with other or maintain harmony. She’ll naturally attract people and resources and beautify things, but it’ll be done in a more Aries way.
