This eclipse season is an interesting one as it is starting off with a sneak peak of the eclipses to come. The nodes are still in Aries and Libra so we haven’t completely finished the eclipses on that axis, but this full moon is happening close enough to the nodes that the revelations typically made around the full moon are a bit more fated than usual. They’ll also be foreshadowing some of what we are to expect next year when the nodes shift signs. It’s like the trailers that you watch before a movie in the theater… or maybe even more-so like the teasers we get that are a lot shorter than a trailer, but can still give you quite a bit of info, if you know what you’re looking at. I’m currently writing this a few hours after the eclipse itself so I was able to see how eclipsed the moon was… and it wasn’t very. Haha.

Just the same, whenever there’s an eclipsing of either the sun or moon, the meaning is still there. Something isn’t being seen (or in this case maybe felt or intuited) in its entirety, so while you may think you’ve got the full picture regarding whatever is coming to mind now, know that there’s a possibility that you could be missing a particularly important piece of information. Just the same, the info will likely come to you within the next few months and could change things for you, or confirm that which you were already thinking.

Going into some specifics now, at the time of the eclipse the moon was getting ready to come in contact with Neptune before leaving Pisces. The last planet she came in direct contact with was Saturn. Luckily, she also got hit with some rays from Jupiter before moving in to oppose the sun. It’s good for her to have some contact with Jupiter for a couple of reasons:

1) Saturn is a drag. He’s good at putting a damper on things and he’s kind of harsh. The moon doesn’t much like any of that energy, because it’s a bit of sobering up while the moon wants to enjoy the dreaminess of Pisces energy. The uplifting energy from Jupiter is encouraging and while Saturn is good at saying no, Jupiter says yes.

2) The moon is in Jupiter’s sign. It’s like being in someone else’s house. Even if you’re in an argument or not getting along with them (the square aspect), if you need something, you’ve got the ability to contact them. You’re in their house so they’re going to take care of you… and Jupiter is more likely to do what he can take care of you anyways due to his benefic nature. He’s far from home in Gemini so he might not have all the resources he’d like to help you, but he’ll do what he can.

At the same time the moon was doing this, the sun was in Virgo. Virgo isn’t the worst place for the sun, but it isn’t his favorite place either. The sun likes to shine, likes to entertain and likes being the center of attention, it’s the sun. Virgo isn’t about any of that stuff and isn’t usually too fond of unnecessarily being in the spotlight. The sun likes fun and maybe doesn’t always care about the details, Virgo lives in the details. Now we’re going to look at the planet the sun is depending on. Earlier we went over how the moon is in Jupiter’s sign and has to look to Jupiter for assistance in bringing forth her significations while in Pisces. The sun is in Mercury’s sign and luckily Mercury is there with the sun and he’s both Exalted and at home in Virgo. If it weren’t for Mercury moving in to oppose Saturn, Mercury would be in good shape. Things can get a bit more complex here because Mercury is also moving into meeting with Jupiter and Jupiter is in Mercury’s sign and Saturn is in Jupiter’s sign so there could be some type of extended grace Saturn would bestow upon Mercury, but either way, Mercury’s probably going to experience some delays in, or rejection of, his significations. That means the sun in this case might be less supported in bringing forth his significations in your life during this eclipse season.

There are a lot of intricacies involved in this eclipse and it’ll bring a mixed bag for most people. I only talked about some of the technical stuff involving the sun and moon… okay fine, I’m going to quickly touch on what’s going on with Mars and the nodes as well, because they play a part in the story too.

This is part of what makes astrology so interesting. You have the story of the sun and moon, which we can see can get quite complex. We’ve also got the story of the nodes, which are actually responsible turning this full moon into a lunar eclipse, and while they’re quite charging on their own, they’re squaring Mars, making another interesting configuration which is gearing to force some type of change. What can seem interesting, and something to be aware of, is that it would seem as if the change would be forced in a whole other area of life than where the sun and moon are. There’s a chance of something happening outside of your scope, or that you’re not paying attention to, which causes a change that you end up dealing with later on. It may even be the case that here soon you get a feeling for it as the moon goes over where the nodes are currently, and you might get a chance to see something when the sun gets to where the nodes are. There’s another layer of understanding some of what is being brought about by this eclipse that’ll happen when the nodes actually hit 25 degrees of Virgo and Pisces next year.

So, I went into a bunch of different things which can be quite technical and confusing. Heck, there’s a lot going on in the sky and I didn’t even touch on some other aspects like the sun, Uranus and Pluto making a grand trine. All that being said, find comfort in knowing that while some areas of your life are changing (eclipse energy), and may seem extremely chaotic (also typical of eclipses), there are other areas of your life where things are working together to build a new reality for you. The grand trine is happening in earth signs and they’re all about reality. So trust that while parts of your life are crumbling and your reality (Pisces-Virgo and Saturn) is changing, there’s a possibility of your dreams (Pisces) to become a reality (Virgo and Saturn) or a new reality (grand earth trine) to come about that can be a bit more in line with your purpose and destiny (the nodes). That’ll probably be what a lot of us are dealing with when the Virgo and Pisces eclipses start.

You can get a better understanding of where these energies will be playing out in your own life by looking at your birth chart and locating Virgo and Pisces and seeing what houses they cover for you, or by getting a reading by a professional astrologer. If you can make the investment in getting a reading, that is preferred. An astrologer can give you more information about how these energies will be interacting with your personal chart and how that’ll look in your life. You can book with me by going to the booking page on this website (given that my booking page is working properly, if not, send me an e-mail or contact me on instagram *** instagram is preferred***). Or, if you have another astrologer that you know of and like their style of reading, find a way to make it work with them. What’s important to me is that you get the guidance you need and use your discernment to figure out how that looks for you personally. We’ve got a lot of changes going on right now and they’ll continue on for a bit, getting some insight can help you know whether to ride the wave, wait it out or whatever is going to be best for you… you also get to know really important things about yourself, different patterns you might be going through and how to work with your own energy in an efficient manner to accomplish what you want and/or are supposed to in this life.

Thanks for reading, and Happy Eclipse Season! Changes are coming, we can’t change that. We can, however, work on our responses to the changes to make them as beneficial to us as possible. Be blessed!
