Mars meets up with Uranus

Seeing as I’m an astrologer and astrology will definitely be one of tools/ systems I’ll refer to the most to help when I can, every once in a while, I’ll go over some of the astrological weather. I’ll also be posting random astro-ponderings which might inspire anyone who comes across them to ponder on the same things. The Mars-Uranus conjunction which occurred a couple of days ago, on July 15th 2024, at least in the US, is one of the diciest bits of astro-weather we’ve got going on this year. For that reason, I’ll touch on it here and now. I started this post before the conjunction came up, but have been too busy to finish it before now. Besides, while the seeding moment might have occurred not long ago, some of the effects from the conjunction might take weeks to unfold. Also, a roughly two year cycle in our lives is being started regarding the Mars-Uranus energies. Before I go into this event, though, I’m going to go over some basics.

Astrology is an archetypal system and in order to derive meaning from anything in a chart (the 2D representation of what’s going on in our solar system from our vantage point at the time of a birth or an event), we have to keep that in mind. The movement of the planets is quite cyclical and predictable in nature. Just as the earth makes a revolution around the sun in about a year, other planets do the same, but the length of time for each planet to make a full revolution around the sun, and come in contact with each other, varies.

What’s really interesting is that while we might get the vibe and the probable situations of any given astrological phenomena in general, they can play out in a bunch of different ways in each person’s life. This is because of a bunch different factors like each person’s personal birth chart and the location they are in when the event happens, among other things. With a look at a full chart and a client who has great memory and/or a good journal, an astrologer and a client can get an even more specific idea of what type of situations will come about in a person’s life because of an astro-event. From there the person can approach the oncoming event in a more prepared fashion.

As for this particular event, we have to look at the two planets involved, along with where in the zodiac it’s happening. Mars, which governs over things like motivation, action, anger, and war (among other things), is meeting with the planet of sudden and sometimes seemingly unexpected revolution, innovation, liberation and change, Uranus. This meeting is happening in sign of Taurus and conjunct the fixed star Algol. Algol itself is an infamous fixed star known for being evil and bringing great tragedy and even beheadings. It’s linked to Medusa, who was transformed into a terrifying being whose head was used as a weapon after she was decapitation. Possible sudden violence is seems likely. ***Since I’ve taken so long to post this we had President Trump being shot within the time-frame of the activation of the conjunction*** For most people though, there’s more-than-likely going to be an urge to do something or something will happen that causes changes in the Aries and Scorpio (Mars ruled signs) sections of their charts and it’s probably going to take place in the part of their chart governed by Taurus. There are obviously all kinds of different possible outcomes with a meeting like this and they can span from an unexpected accident to a personal finally taking action to liberate themselves.

Something for you to look at personally would be where the sign of Taurus falls in your own chart and that will indicate where this energy will play out directly, for you personally. An accurate time is crucial for knowing things like where the energies of certain astro-events are going to play out in your life, or in the lives of other people indicated within your chart.

Anywho, if you see where the sign of Taurus falls in your personal chart you can then see what area of your life if going to be directly affected. This is even more true when you have a planet within 3 degrees of this conjunction which will occur at 26 degrees of Taurus. You’ll also want to look out for planets from 23 to 29 degrees of Scorpio, Leo, and Aquarius because the energy will likely affect the areas of life ruled by those planets in a more direct and possibly abrasive manner. Those with planets between 23 to 29 of the signs of Pisces, Cancer, Virgo and Capricorn will probably experience the areas of life ruled by those planets getting a bit more supportive energy and change.

P.S. I took a while to write and post this. I was going to not post it because the conjunction has passed and I don’t have the time to perfect the post, but I’m working on actually putting things out there. I’m going to post even when the post is not to my standards because doing so will get me in the habit of doing instead of just thinking and inevitably not doing. Following through and not letting the analysis paralysis known very well by many with strong Virgo and saturnian or saturnine energy is pretty hard to do at times. My project As Within is aimed towards helping us know what we have going on within to better shape our lives, from the inside out. I’m applying some of the knowledge I have about myself and working from that basis to improve the things I’d like to improve.
