Elections. What do you want to signal to the Universe

This here is an extremely long post that I’ve been working on on and off for months. There’s a lot that’s covered and due to it’s length, I cannot guarantee that it’ll follow one stream of thought. I cannot guarantee that the end result is anything near what I set out for it to be. I say explore the parts that resonate within you. I talk about all kinds of things regarding your importance in the grand scheme of things, even within your own government. We chose those who are supposed to represent us, but are we representing ourselves in those choices? What do we do when they fail to represent us and our interests? Life changes for the better when you make it. You are a co-creator in your existence and voting may very well be another way you signal what you want to manifest into this world. Do you know yourself within as well as others may know you? What are you saying about yourself and your intentions through your actions when it comes to these times? Does your vote represent your true voice?

ELECTIONS… WHAT DO YOU WANT TO SIGNAL TO THE UNIVERSE?


I drafted most of this post well before the elections here in the US, but never posted it. Though these elections are probably over, I’m hoping this post can help prepare us for the next ones, including the local and state ones. I get the importance of this topic and the sensitivity surrounding it, so I ask for you to keep an open mind. Also, I’ll touch a bit on the sensitivity surrounding this subject. While some of my personal opinions and biases will likely be be seen here, I’m going to approach this topic in a manner that is in line with the purpose of As Within. The As Within section of the WithWil project is dedicated to helping you really get to know your authentic self and who you are within so that you can remember that you co-create your life, reclaim your power, and create a life in which you thrive. Part of the process involves you seeing the influences which are affecting you, and working to strip away the things which aren’t helping you achieve your goals. In my opinion, elections are an area of life where you can exercise the knowledge of who you are to work towards constructing a life that works best for you. You may think that’s what you’re doing, but are you? “I don’t like either of the options, but…”, “If I don’t vote for [so and so] then [so and so] will win…”, “It’s not going to make a difference, so I’m not even going to participate...” Do any of those sentiments sound familiar? I can tell you I’ve definitely bought into all of those ways of thinking at one point or another. Now I see things differently, and invite you to do the same, remembering that you are co-creating your life. Keep in mind that the decisions we make and the actions we take also affect some of the things that are able to influence us. At the very least, you choosing to vote in line with who you are signals to the universe, yourself and whatever else may be cognizant of your votes, that you’re taking action to create the life you want…. regardless of how things turn out with the elections themselves.



Here in the US, whenever election season comes around emotions are intensified, raising the tension in the atmosphere. Unfortunately, the tension regarding politics is often quite palpable and it deepens the divide among the amazing people of this beautiful country. The tension is often accompanied, if not fueled, by fear inducing rhetoric. This rhetoric gets dialed up to the extreme. These things are not healthy for us as individuals and are even harder on us as a whole. The effects of the stress and fear induced or amplified by these times really affect us on many different levels. Some people may get that the stress and fear affects our ability to see each other as people, but did you know that it also affects our ability to think rationally and to really digest and process information? The fact that most people get their information from others and aren’t researching for themselves especially exacerbates the issues caused by the game of telephone. Soundbites and heavily manipulated information run rampant and so many things are taken out of context, causing unnecessary fear and stress.


I invite you to minimize your engagement with many mainstream sources of information and do your own research on things. Look at all of your available options and research them. If you’re looking at people, check out out multiple sources of information, including their website. Look into their history and play devil’s advocate with the information you find. Question things, engage and challenge your critical thinking skills. People’s words are often taken out of context, put them back into context by watching full interviews and/or reading whatever is referenced in full. If you’re being told someone is such and such, see if that check with their history and is not just what you’re being told. For those who have held office before or are currently holding office, there’s a record of what they’ve done and/or are doing, look into that. If someone is currently in a position of power and they’re telling you they’ll do something, ask yourself why it hasn’t been done? If someone promised the world and delivered very little or did literally the opposite of what they promised, do you vote for them again? If you do, what do you signal to them and beyond?


If you’re looking at changes to or introduction of laws, do your best to look at the sources. Do not just take what you’re being told about what their purpose is as truth. You’ll find that often there’s a lot more going on than you’re being told. Unfortunately politics is full of deception and law itself is very particular. The wording matters. If things promised aren’t written into the proposed legislation, don’t expect what you’re being promised to be delivered. The meaning of the words used is also important. Some things are left purposefully vague for a reason and some words are specific for a reason. Don’t take what you’re being told about these cases at face value, stay skeptical. Politics and law are games played by those who know them and unfortunately the general public is unaware of the rules. Take into account your own lived experiences about certain things like the economy as well and be aware that the explanations given for certain situations can be completely falsified. In this day and age we’re constantly being gaslit.


When it comes to accountability…. If we, as normal people, lie, cheat, steal or kill, what happens to us? How often are those in high bureaucratic or political office held to the same standards? How often are the crimes they perpetrate done on a much larger scale? Who’s responsible for holding them accountable? Who are those people held accountable to? Don’t forget these kinds of things when voting or when things are done that you don’t approve of. If you voted for someone to represent you, are you holding them accountable for that representation? If you don’t know how to, look into it. Sometimes you can call and/or e-mail your representatives. It’d be great if large groups of people held them accountable, but even if they don’t, does that mean you can’t? We don’t have much control over our neighbors, but we can work on ourselves and our responses.


You also cannot usually trust the heavily politicized mainstream media. Money talks and I think we’re all aware of that. Have you paid attention to the commercials playing during the commercial breaks? Who are they by? What are their interests? If you’re hearing about how great sugar is from a personality in mainstream media and big sugar is running the ads during the breaks, do you think you can that what you’re being told isn’t influenced by the advertisers? Their allegiance isn’t to the average person, regardless of the words they use to make you believe otherwise. When it comes to big organizations like media companies and the government, trust and believe they’ve got you down to a science. For the most part the type of media you tune into already signals quite a bit to them about who you are. Study these organizations as well, you’ve got tools available to do so. If you understand the true nature of the entities with which you are dealing, you can figure out what they’re doing and how they’re doing it. Get to know the tricks used to get you to support one thing or another. Words are very effective to illicit a response: barbaric-- what comes to mind when you read that word? Have you ever heard the saying “A picture is worth a thousand words”?



Now, getting back to ourselves… Many aspects of our current lives are completely out of whack and out of line with our nature… many, many aspects. I am still lagging on the release of my video on authenticity (mainly due to procrastinating the editing), but in at least one of the languages I touch on the fact that we as humans often tend to see ourselves as above nature, in a sense. In doing so, we disconnect and separate ourselves from nature and with it our nature as well. We fall out of sync with the natural energies and flows which affect us regardless of our conscious interaction with them. Ever notice how many animals are aware of impending disaster? Have you ever had a prompting to do something and ignored it only to find out the prompting was right? We lose our power as we start to move from a place derived from without, not based in our nature and our connection to nature and everything that is. We also open ourselves to the realms and powers of others that may be working within their nature and may have studied ours as well, at least parts of it. In the video about authenticity I contend that getting in touch with nature and your nature is crucial… you can start learning about yourself and then work to understand your place on a larger scale, but truly getting to know yourself can change your life and give you more control over so many different aspects of it and in ways you might not be able to imagine just yet. It’s amazing to see how throughout different belief systems our will seems to be quite important. Even when the importance is placed on us surrendering our will and relinquishing power to an entity perceived as higher in some belief systems, we have to actively do that.


When put into perspective, getting to know our inner selves, power and will is vital in every aspect of our lives. We are active participants in life. We are co-creating our lives in every moment. America is referred to as the great experiment. Why? Also, why are there elections and why are votes taken in places like here in America? When we vote, aren’t we formally expressing our will? I mean we can go into a bunch of theories and complexities regarding the systems in place, but we wont. At the end of the day, at least here in the great United States of America we are supposed to have a constitutional republic and we’re supposed to have a say in what happens to us. That’s literally the basis of our system. We the People are to elect certain people among ourselves to govern over us and represent our interests, using our constitutions (that of the United States of America and those of each individual state) as their guideline. However, those elected haven’t been representing the interests of their constituents, they don’t deliver on the promises they make to get elected and the checks and balances in our original system have been skirted for far too long. The checks and balances in the form of the Executive, Judicial and Legislative branches aren’t working the way they’re supposed to. Part of these issues are only able to persist because we the people haven’t been holding those elected as accountable as we should. We also have not been as vigilant as we should be and calling out the overreaches of any given branch. Maybe this is because we no longer know how things are supposed to work, or we lose faith in the ability of the system to work. That could be by design as well, if you don’t participate because you don’t feel like it works or you don’t know the importance of your participation and those that are participating aren’t doing so in a manner that represents their true needs and desires, things can continue to devolve.


Divide and conquer also is quite the tactic. Have you heard of The Red or The Blue? The Right and The Left? The Republicans and the Democrats? If they can get you to buy into the teams and vote for that team even when it doesn’t get you what you want and need, they win. Do you know the beginnings of these teams or where they’ve stood on key issues throughout their existence? What have been their fruits and not their words? Has voting between these two parties been helping We the People or not? Has life for most progressively gotten better or worse with time? I don’t care which of the teams you’re on, if you have bought into the de-facto two party system, but I do care if it is giving you what you need. Is it? Do you know of the longstanding tactic to give the people perceived small wins (even though they end up with a net lose) so they don’t revolt? I learned about something like this in school years ago, I suppose I just didn’t think it was happening here. So many things I’ve learned about past systems, governments and empires that have collapsed or seemed horrible according to American standards are now on the table here in America. This is concerning and I think more people would be able to see the writing on the wall if they were to understand the importance of doing so and not get defensive. After-all, much of what our government has been doing hasn’t had popular support or is just outright hidden from us. However, if we look at different policies at face value, regardless of justifications, we’d see we’re not far off from governments and nations we once judged.



I’m not going to lie, with things being the way they have been for a while, I had given up on this system and figured it was broken beyond remedy. However, as I’ve learned more about myself and different higher spiritual principles, I’ve been able to reassess the way I see the system of governance here and life as a whole. I believe that the established system of governance here in the US is still set up as described and can work great. We’ve just lost the notion of our importance and the knowledge of our true power in the system. Hell, I think for the most part, we’ve even lost the nature of our constitution and forgotten it’s importance. We have to go back to the basics. Doing so can help us gain perspective and connect us to the power contained within our founding documents. It can help us also figure out where power distributions are not being respected and push for them to be re-balanced.


Upon becoming familiar with our founding documents, like the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States, we can identify if and where there’s a system flaw that may have been exploited by hackers. I argue that much like computers, our system, and likely our population, have been hacked. I conjecture that in order to exploit the system and bleed it and our people of resources, a hack was necessary because an outright takeover would probably lead to a revolution and the collapse of the exploitable system. Like in computers, in order for the hack to be effective, it is necessary to keep most people unaware of the hack so that the vulnerabilities that are being exploited cannot be resolved or patched and any viruses and/or spyware can go largely unnoticed corrupting the system from within. All of this is dependent upon the public staying ignorant of it’s true power and nature of the system. If you know the nature of the system you can see when it’s not behaving as established. At that point you can work to fight the infection by quarantining infected sites and establishing firewalls and different mechanisms to protect what’s surviving as well as be able to identify threats. Look at the preamble of the Constitution of the United States:


We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.



This is from the document used to establish our current system and it spells out the purpose of the system being established. Judging from what you read there, do you think that things are working as planned? If it isn’t working as was established we can at least acknowledge that and work towards fixing the problem.


Now we’re going to touch on some of the more dicey stuff, but consider what I’m saying here. In order to know yourself, look back at the stuff I mentioned before and how it can be playing out in your life. How connected are you to your nature? How well do you know yourself and how you tick? In which aspects of your life have you possibly been hacked? Which aspects of your life may not go in line with who you are and may be part of some programming (intentional and non) introduced to your source code? I like the idea of source code because it is my belief that we do come from source, we come from God or whatever you want to attribute to the organization of this universe or multiverse or whatever resonates with you. Science is starting to catch up and understand things that mystics and spiritual teachers have been teaching for a while. We’re all connected as people and everything else is seemingly connected as well. When we get to know ourselves and the different things we bring to the table, the better we can contribute to the whole of everything in existence. We have have to get to that point though and we have to be aware of certain things that affect our ability to get there. Division, is obviously not helping us get there because as different as we may all be, we each form part of a whole and when we work in unison we can accomplish great things.


Next up is fear. Fear is a really good tool for manipulation. If you don’t believe me, you’re on the internet.. look up fear and control (I just googled fear and control and one thing that popped was talking about going into nature to reduce fear and anxiety… interesting. I also got something talking about the use of fear for control, which I guess would probably be a better place to start the search. Haha!), fear and cognition… let me know what you think after that.


Truly knowing yourself, the good the bad and the ugly, can really help you understand how you operate and possibly see things about yourself that could leave you open to exploitation. Judging yourself for different things you may not like about yourself also isn’t fair and might not get you far. Figure out the strengths within your weaknesses and work with those as well. For example, someone who has a hard time following linear thought is probably really creative and has a different way of approaching the same problem. Our current setup forces them to arrive at a destination using the one side of the brain, but if you get to the right answer and you find a way that makes sense to you, what’s the problem? Sometimes those who don’t thrive at linear thought are even capable of solving problems that linear thinkers cannot. We all have out gifts. We just have to look for them. If you seek, you will find. Being aware of things about yourself that others may take advantage of can help you learn to protect yourself. I also think this is where the truly knowing yourself becomes crucial. If you are a really trusting person, I bet you’ve been made that way, but I’d also bet that you were also given certain gifts to protect you as well, especially those of you that are more hopeful and trusting than cynical, you guys are God’s gift to mankind. Maybe you once (or still) had (or have) an extra dose of promptings and intuition that you never learned to trust. Maybe part of the problem is that you didn’t trust those things and have had many bad experiences and forgotten that the reason you’ve had bad experiences is because you’ve ignored your gifts. Each person is unique and finding yourself can really help you figure out what your natural ways are, working against them probably hasn’t been helping you and continuing to work against your natural ways will likely only start to intensify your struggles in the times to come.


It’s important for you to know yourself and live your life according to that knowledge. Voting in accordance to the knowledge of yourself and your needs is also a way of honoring and respecting yourself. Not only is it important to get to know yourself, do your own research into things you’re voting on. Though it is easier to just listen to what you’re hearing on the news or in social media, looking things up yourself can help you not fall victim to the game of telephone, or blatant lies which are out there, and trust me it happens on all sides. Look for sources, if you’re really invested, look up funding and possible biases behind the sources. Try to truly understand opposing views and gather information which opposes your current stances. There’s a lot going on in our country and in the world. Learning for yourself can help dispel a lot of the fear which is floating around. See how you are reacting to information as you come across it, it’ll help you on your personal journey as well. If you look up information that challenges your belief and seek to truly understand the other side, you can combat some of the division running rampant as well.


Remember, here in America our colors are red white and blue. Team red and team blue tend to look out for teams red and blue. As a whole we are red white and blue, the team stuff gets you to buy into a dichotomy which doesn’t exist. At the end of the day we’re not growing stronger as a country and our politicians are not doing much to help us. The system has been hacked and the only way to fix it is for you to vote according to what you feel is best for you. Voting in fear engenders more fear and keeps us in the broken down version of the system we’re currently in. How many people do you know that don’t like either of the main candidates but will vote for one to not have the other? Do you think that’s the way this is supposed to work? Have you considered that that mentality part of the hack and part of what keeps us in the same cycle? The teams are looking out for themselves while the American people as a whole suffer. That will end in one way or another. We The People have to inform ourselves and keep in mind our importance in this system. It only works as well as we make it. We must start speaking up and representing ourselves with our votes. Do you think it’s a coincidence there’s so much chaos around these times and so many people are off-kilter? Think of sports, fighting and war, if you can get someone distracted, enraged or fearful it’s a lot easier to defeat them.


You can know people, agencies, and entities, among others things, by the fruit they bear. Right? Let’s do a quick status check on our country... How are our health outcomes here? How’s our economic situation? How unified are we as a nation? Now think about the people, agencies and companies in charge of each of those things… these are their fruits. Regardless of what they and/or the media may tell you, you have your own lived experience to compare things to. I’ve talked extensively about different aspects of the system here in the US and I’ve gone back and forth talking the interplay between us and said system. However, now that we’re wrapping up, I’m going to turn the focus onto you. Remember you are a co-creator in life. Take personal inventory. Can you recognize your fruits? What are they saying about you? What can you do to make it to where your fruits are representative of who you really are? We are given many choices throughout life and those choices help establish the world in which we live. Find yourself and make your choices in line with that. Whether or not you vote and how you vote may play a bigger role in the grand scheme of things than you know.
